New York based pianist-composer Hayk Arsenyan, a native of Armenia, has appeared in numerous recitals across North and South Americas, Europe and Asia, at venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Palais d'UNESCO and Salle Cortot (Paris), the Kremlin and Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow). "Petranka" House-Museum of Mozart (Prague), Auditorio de Miguel Delibes (Valladolid), Dar-Al-Assad Opera House (Damascus), Sala Cervantes (Havana), as well as appearances at the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago and the Phillips Collection Concert Series in Washington DC. At the age of 11 Mr. Arsenyan made his orchestral debut with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra performing his own Requiem for the piano and orchestra. At the age of 17, he made his European orchestral debut as a soloist with the Radio France National Philharmonic Orchestra and was awarded a platinum medal by the City of Paris. Currently, Mr. Arsenyan teaches at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of low and a Master's degree from the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow. In 2007 he was granted the full-tuition Yevgeny Kissin Award for the Professional-Studies performance program at Manhattan School of Music in New York. Mr. Arsenyan also studied the piano in Paris at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot and at the Conservatoire National de Region D'Aubervillier La-Courneuve. In 1993, Mr. Arsenyan became a lifetime member of the French Society of Authors and Composers (SACEM) and two collections of his original works were published in Paris. In 2015, he also became a member of the Composers Union of Armenia. Several of his compositions have been choreographed by the dance departments of the University of lowa and New York University, as well as the lowa Youth Ballet and the Duarte Dance Works in Brazil.
