Home of the famous Complete Double Bass Orchestral Parts books

In 1969, Oscar Zimmerman founded Zimmerman Publications in order to provide complete orchestral parts for auditioning double bass students, including suggested fingerings and bowings. Beginning with "The Complete Bass Parts of the Beethoven Nine Symphonies and Leonore No. 3 Overture", he soon added nine more volumes of complete parts that have become an essential part of any bassist's music library.

Oscar was one of the great double bass players and teachers of his time, performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra, NBC Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He played under the baton of conductors Leopold Stokowski, Arturo Toscanini, Bruno Walter, Fritz Reiner, George Szell, Eugene Ormandy, and many others. On faculty at Eastman School of Music for many years, his students led orchestral sections all over the world.

We are proud to carry on this great tradition of providing quality solo and orchestral editions for the double bass.
